Two hearts together for quite some time,
Are now just a poem without any rhyme.
Together we thought we would always be,
But time changed our love, sadness was key.
You protected me greatly from all that was bad.
You said you were glad it was me that you had.
I agreed, and said I feel it too,
But now I feel I'm getting over you.
You just ignored me, like I wasn't there.
I started to think that you didn't care.
Now I think I know how you feel.
I'm sure our envelope has finally been sealed.
I love you so much, and I always will.
In my heart, it's you that I'll feel.
But only as friend who were once in love,
We'll always know that, and thank God above.
