The simplicity of falling in love
The complexity of being in it

I watch as they all fly above
without a care in the world

I'm down here picking up the pieces of me
that everyone in my life has shattered

I'm not all that I'm cracked up to be
I have a hard shell, and a soft inside

Everyday i have to deal with the pain
that I'll never be with you

Knowing that is driving me insane
I don't believe I'll ever be able to grow wings

    Hunny thats sooo sad. why???? i want to know whats wrong with your shattered heart. i believe in the saying, you can only break my heart once, but after that theres nothing left to break. but who broke your heart? and it shouldnt be your progotive to pick the pieces up that a dumb person shattered in the frist place

    Wow. I think you have captured my feelings in those few lines perfectly! We have something in common . . . I have to admit, the poem seemed a little off at times, but with time, that will improve as you write more. Which I sincerely hope you do :) Nice work.
