The wolf

Laying by the river,
Feeling peaceful as ever,
Loving the sounds of nature,
Wish it would last forever.
The sun goes down,
Almost time to run,
Looking at the moon rise,
Its full and bright,
In the night starry sky.
I sniff the air,
Mmmm...night air.
My ears prick,
My nose twitches,
It's time to run.
Running through the trees,
My night vision searching,
Searching for a threat,
Searching for a friend,
Just searching.
Then i stop in a cave,
twirl around,
then lay down and fall asleep.
Another day has past.
