This is a reminder of what could have been,
A reminder of what would have been if I hadn't let him go.
There would have been heartache and tears,
And so many fears,
Fears of being alone.
Tears from a heart that had been broken,
Broken over and over again.
Tears from a heart that was afraid, Afraid it would never end.
And this is a reminder of what is now,
Now that I've found another.
A reminder of happiness and laughter,
And a reminder of happily ever after.
All the sad tears have gone away,
And only ones of happiness remain.
All of the heartache is over for good,
And my heart is living like it should.
