Sooner or Later

Standing there with the wind in your hair
The clapping sounds of the dark blue ocean
Laughter of the children running around innocently
Adults chatting about nothing important
The rusted railing separating yourself from the ocean
The taste of the ocean on the tip of your tongue
The light clouds going by fast with dark ones coming in
It pours down rain
The lighten strikes
The thunder rolls
People running to safety but it's too late now
You can't rain away from pain you cover it up for years and years
It was going to catch up sooner or later
You watch the people run to shelter
But you stay behind
You stand there knowing that it's not safe
But why should you care about yourself when no one else does
They wouldn't care..would they?
They didn't before..why now?
Then you wake up shivering with fear
You lay there thinking about the people you care so deeply about
And you wonder..do they care about me?
You fall back asleep...and dream your sweet dreams...
Still trying to run from the pain..but it's going to catch up
Sooner or later..
