Addicted

Nearer, closer, further...
Deep inside your bones
I burrow through your filth
As i cleanse you from your sins
I fill your throat with moans
And spread desire from within
Inhale my scent
Take it in, fill your lungs with me
I will ease your pain and let your troubles free
Don't try to think, don't try to breathe
I'm in your mind at the cerebral cortex,
Distributing my disease
You cannot get enough and you cannot control
Your fortitude has taken its toll
An uncontrollable itch
Swimming under your skin
Causing your violent fits
There's no cure for the damage done
Consumed by your thirst
You leap forward, you search
For an answer to this riddle
Your desperation grows...
Little by little
No longer your own
A willing puppet to your disease
Though you don't even know how damaging this plague can be
As you search for resolution
Your head is filled to the brim with lies and pollution

I like the way you have written this from the drugs perspective.
I am very clos to an addict, and you pretty much hit the nail on the head with you descriptions. Very real.
The idea of being consumed by this, and not being able to fight it.
With this poem you can envisage smoke filling the lungs, or the drug flowing through the veins. A*
