Betrayal.

by Steven Beesley   Mar 29, 2006

Betrayal:

So many empty promises
filled with such fake sincerity
have lead me to lose faith,
faith in what was once a friendship.

At no time did I expect
anything nor did I once
take anything for granted.
Your cowardice now speaks the truth.

Inside your gentle exterior is such
a cold and mean lifeless heart.
Leading me down the garden
trail to what you knew was a dead end.

Giver of false hope, provider
of emptiness and disappointment.
You have cut me far deeper
then any pain I had felt.

Such an insincere and uncaring
soul, you do not realize the dire
consequences of your thoughtless actions.
Such knavery and treachery beyond belief.

You have sold out your friend and your integrity,
Such disloyalty and heartless betrayal.
One cannot believe the perfidiousness which you have displayed.

My trust in you, you took
away by your own hand.
A new middle name you have given yourself which all understand - Judas.

Insidiousness is too nice a
word for the harm you brought and
disloyalty is something you
now are a master at.

A sad affair when those friends don't turn out to be friends! I feel for you... My friends turned their back on me, now I have none (local friends of course, you and the CC&P gang are my friends :) )

Just take care of yourself my friend, come back soon we all want to greet you with a good welcome back and cheer up your soul :)
