In This Storm

The rain pierces my skin
As the thorns pierced yours
I hold you deep within
My love for you soars

I raise up my hands
I'm cold, not warm
My love for you stands
I'll praise you in this storm

The lightning flashes bright
My voice lifts up to you
Inside, it's dark like night
I know I will get through

Your arms pull me close
As the storm persists
The wind strongly blows
Praising you leaves me in bliss

Your love for me is strong
Much more than the wind
I will praise you all day long
Because you gave when I sinned

Never did you give up
You carried me through
You filled my cup
My strength was renewed

So now, I will praise you
When my heart is ripped and torn
Forever, I will turn to you
I will praise you in this storm
