Pain that is so real

by Latasha   Mar 29, 2006

My shattered heart can barely feel,
I search for hope,
Maybe a sign that you still care.
That phone call we had,
Nearly killed me inside,
When those words came out of your mouth,
My heart sunk,
To the bottom of a black whole.
I loved you more then anything,
And day after day you promised me you cared to,
But it must've been just one cruel joke.
You promised I was the one that hurt you dearly,
But after that phone call my eyes are filled with tears,
And I can barely find strength to carry on.
My life feels empty,
You meant so much more then just another boy.
My broken tears have formed a sea,
Where I constantly travel,
To escape the pain that is so real.
If only my heart would've knew answering that phone,
Would bring me this much pain,
I would've let it ring.
Then maybe you would've still cared,
And I wouldn't be here crying in pain,
But rather rejoicing in ecstasy.
