Iâ??m sorry Mom,
But I think itâ??s better this way.
You have your own life
And I have mine.
Iâ??d like to save myself
From the pain Iâ??d feel
If we were closer.
I wouldn't want to get hurt.
Youâ??ve caused so many
Wounds already,
I wouldn't want more.
One more tear,
One more scar
Would break me.
Youâ??ve made me live with so much pain.
This feeling of guilt
Constantly haunts me.
Our relationship
Is better off left alone.
Untouched.
For I donâ??t have the strength
To fix it.
