Potpourri Of A Tired Mind.

by Steven Beesley   Mar 30, 2006

Potpourri Of A Tired Mind:

Obscured visions cast shadows
on a bleak desolate reality.
Dreams not of grandeur but
only for a quiet night's slumber.

Misplaced faith now cannot
be found or replicated.
Shreds that bear the
marks of a tattered and worn life.

Remnants of former strength
all hanging by a thread,
ease not the pain from
a raped and ragged mind.

Disrupted and corrupted
liaisons now scattered to the wind,
now like pollen blown
all around a barren earth.

Mortal fears come seek
you out to play.
Imprisoned passions with
frayed and frail truths.

Behold his internment with
no end yet in sight,
catastrophic depression runs
rampant and riot each day.

Good and evil are isotonic
mates, human virtues all
cremated and gone.
Now like ashes thrown into the sea.
