Dignity.

by Steven Beesley   Mar 30, 2006

Dignity:

Wash your hands,
you quietly walk away.
Turn your back and
have nothing more to say.

I gather up my courage
to meet another day.
Misfortunes that have fallen
on me must now pass away.

Collect my strength to
face everything in my path.
Accepting reality with quiet
dignity and with grace.

All is lost, I have
nothing more to lose.
From this day on I
have everything to gain.

Start afresh, keep up
my pride and find a new way.
A page of history
that will never be erased.

Yes... This has a mild hint of hope seeping out the seams. You will get through this, your will is strong!!! A great poem reflecting this!

    Great write, Beesley.

I am amazed that you would write a great poem even with all the bad obstacles in front of you. It truly shows how much courage and will you have, truly you have shown me what "strong determination and will" is.

    Again great write Steven.
