2 Pearls

by StarStrukFiona   Mar 30, 2006

Black and white you fit together like a puzzle only you two can complete

cut from the same cloth
but no one can tell
they can't see past the color
to get to the heart

black and white
like two pearls
from the same clam
no one knows you're the same
because they can't see past the difference

i know
you belong together
two pieces of a puzzle
cut from the same cloth
two pearls from a clam

This is for my best mate and her bf. I didn't really know anything about racism or the subtleness that it can be until when my mate turned round to a friend and told her that her bf was black, her friend said 'oh my god, your dating a black guy, that's so weird!'.
    Fight racism!
