Messed up

Slipping through my fingers,
Threatening to leave,
You're not the whole person that you perceive.
You seem so strong,
So willing to fight,
But i see you're so fragile you've no strength and no might.
That smile your whole attitude,
Is just one big masquerade,
I see things getting better but then it all seems to fade.
He's walking away now,
Tears run down his face,
You're running to catch him but can't keep up with his pace.
Need to keep up appearances,
Can't be all down,
Right now it's forbidden to be wearing that frown.
Don't want to lose him,
Know we're meant to be,
So i'll paint on this smile again and just pretend to be me.
