Young Heart's Are Always Broken

by Anthony   Mar 30, 2006

The love's been given,
You can't take it back.
And you don't think
You even want to.
The person who holds
Your heart also holds a blade.
And one slip will
Make you nothing but empty.
Young hearts are always broken.

She's on the ground
And he's over there.
Her heart's along the trail
In pieces.
And her empty eyes
Stared at the air.
But couldn't see anything
But a warning.
Young Hearts are Always Broken.

Some young man comes
And gathers her hearts pieces.
And puts her heart
Puzzle back together.
Again, she gives her love,
Blindly and faithfully.
Beware little girl.
They may be mended but,
Young Hearts Are Always Broken.

I'm with Britt... Your wording is ace. Sad and meaningful with a good clear message. Like it :)

Again Britt is right, you should get rid of the periods and wipe out the use of "And" at the beginning of the line.
