Pain

What's supposed to be filled with joy,
is what causes her so much pain.
All she ever did was give him love,
all he ever did was throw it away.

She was once a joyful girl,
now she sits alone in tears.
Each drop filled with hurt,
because she has wasted 4 years.

She kept it locked up,
hidden from everyone causing her pain,
yet letting it out,
has caused her so much more.

She has run out of stars in the sky,
for she has wished on every single one.
Wishing the same which since 6th grade,
just waiting for it to come true.

Her heart which was once whole,
is now shattered into millions of pieces.
How can so much pain be caused by one person,
the person that she loves?
