A Poet's Possesion

by Pilar   Mar 30, 2006

Hold onto a piece of paper
A pen took your hand for itself
Thoughts floating in ecstasy
Your mind has fallen from the highest cliff
And landed on that lonely desk.

Smells like fresh ink, pure emotion drained from a pen,
Feels like bleeding whispers from your veins.
Writing down what you left unspoken,
Uncovering a worthless yet so precious life
Under words who don't even rhyme.

A pair of eyes eclipsed by wonder,
A speech with no language ever spoken,
A sleeping disorder, dreaming yet not awoken.
Beyond time, words don't grow old
Beyond miracles, a poem never leaves the soul.

Desires of a silent scream
The mortality of every human being,
Claims every breath is worth the fight.
The immortality of a poem,
Claims you'll leave a reminder of your heart in time.

The magic of a poem, the secret within a verse,
A unique inspiration no one will ever guess.
Once a blank piece of paper,
now tainted with beating emotion,
Consumed by a poetic devotion.

Close your eyes, and breath again
A book with no cover, a soul with no shell
Feel the breeze within your face
Slowly leave this world...
And let go the pen.
