One Way Ticket.

One Way Ticket:

A green canvas in all
directions for miles around.
Such a lush Eden that
soon will seldom be found.

A home for so many
inhabitants and so different
to me or you.
Their plight now so desperate, why can't we see?

We think not of what we do,
to fell trees and kill our forests.
Nature's factories producing
oxygen now being leveled to the ground.

The changing of ecosystems
is a one way ticket.
We can't go back, undo what
we have done, just live in shame.

Many species, dying out;
rapid extinction is the cause
from all our faults.
In the ultimate end it will be our demise.

Mother Nature will start anew,
but then it will be without either
you or I.
