A cry from the invisible...

by Latasha   Mar 31, 2006

The silence echos through the room
As the girl cries to be heard,
Everyone is there,
But no one hears her lonely tears.

She hides her fears behind her books,
Her voice has gone faint,
No one listens to a word she says,
She is just another person they ignore.

Her shadow can't be seen,
She is nearly invisible,
As people forget her name,
She is just another cry for help.

In everyones eyes she lives the perfect life,
She gets top marks at school,
And beautiful to the common man,
But behind the bars at school she is just a lonely soul.

Her life is nearly done,
She wants it to be over,
Tears fall down her cheeks,
As she lives another day.

Today her life changed,
She filled the tub to the top,
And slipped her naked body in the water,
She quivered from the coldness.

Her hand lifted to reach a blade,
As she rubbed it across her wrist,
Her blood turned the water red,
As her body turned breathless.

Two hours later her mother rushed in,
Only to find her daughters lips blue,
And her eyes frozen in fear,
With her body painted in red.

Three days later a note was found,
Reading "Everyone I am sorry,
I love you all dearly,
But this is how it had to be,
I was only a lonely soul waiting to explode,
And tonight my heart exploded,
And I'm left with no more pain."
