Unforgettable Love

As I lay here at night,
Unable to sleep,
My mind turns over,
To thoughts I mustn't keep.

I think of the memories,
Between you and me,
From the good old days,
And how we used to be.

I remember the laughs,
And it brings a smile to my face,
But also the tears,
Which brings my mind back to this place.

Now I'm wishing for you,
To fall back in love with me,
But I know that's wrong,
And I'm glad that's now what I see.

We're best just friends,
Even though it's hard being apart,
When I know that I still,
Love you with my whole heart.

    Wowee-- I've been in this situation, too. One of my best friends, Mitchell, about a year ago, I was like.. in love with him.. except we were never actually together, and he told me he didn't wanna take it further cause he didn't want anything to ruin the friendship at first. I was pretty upset for awhile about it.. but now I'm kinda glad, cause we have such a good friendship, and I'd hate for anything bad to happen to lose that.

    Anyways, I'll stop talking about me. ;P ..The poem again, was awesome. The ending really tied everything together. & That's great. Keep it up.
