I Never Want To Lose You

Have you ever had a friend,
That means the world to you.
A friend that if you ever lost,
You just wouldn't know what to do.

I have a dear friend right now,
That I feel this way about,
I would do anything for them,
Anything, without a doubt.

I think about all the memories,
The laughter we've shared,
Through all the ups and downs,
For him I've always cared.

Now that things have changed,
I don't know what to do.
I have been given advice,
But I have to think it through.

I have two choices,
From which I have to choose,
One takes a lot of effort,
The other, my best friend I lose.

I can only lose him,
If we both let go,
But I know I won't,
I'm not sure about him though.

I'm only another friend to him,
To me, he is everything,
If I mean half as much as he does to me,
He won't let go of anything.

I've told him what he means to me,
Many times before,
But I don't think thats meant a thing,
So I'm going to tell him once more.

I never want to lose him,
So I'll try my best not to,
One last time I'll say how I feel,
And that's all I can do.

I don't know what I expect from him,
Or what I want to hear,
All I want is for him to know,
That to me is very dear.
