I put out the light

by vicky   Mar 31, 2006

My room was brightly lit
I could see how things were to be
the pictures illuminated
silver glinting in the shine
boxes bathed in light
electricity crackling on the floor
It got too much.Too bright. Too focused
glints stabbing, light engulfing my being, electric shocks paralysing my freedom.
I turned out the light.
my room is black. blind to everything, objects get in my way. photographs lost. silver tarnished. sea of darkness is still and permenant.
rural, natural, the beginning or the end. the nothing. the no-one left is me.
