You gave me presents,
you gave me time
you spent all your days
silently at my side

so now as I'm sitting at your side
looking at your cold face

if you loved me so much
why did you take your life
you could've made me see
that you we're the one for me

it must have been hard
to write that goodbye
to take that knife
and slice it just right

and now ill do the same
so i can be with you tonight
cause i realize now
you were my guiding light
