The Sea's Darkness

As the Darkness swarmed around me,
I head back through my past.

Along the seas shore,
walk alone in the darkness of the night.

My footsteps that where left behind in the wet sand,
is the path that leads me back home through the
darkness.

The sounds of the waves and the voice of a lone gull,
is the only thing that comforts me.

The shrill of the gulls lonely call,
reminds me of how alone I really am in this heartless, cold world.

I stopped for a moment to watch it fly above me and the sea.
It spreed it's great wings, fillings the sky, and calling for another like it's self.

" You and I are Alike, you know lone Bird?" I called out to it.
" We are alone in this world, the only ones of our kind."

The giant bird swooped down upon me.
I held out my arm to welcome the visitor as it landed upon my wrist.

It's talons pricked my skin
as it balanced it's weight and folded it\'s wings back into it's body.

We stood there watching the moon rise up above the rising tide.
We stood like stone statues, as the tide rolled in.

As the salt water rolled a crossed my feet, the gull Flung it's self into the air.

And with one, two, three great beats from it's wing's,
it sored into the sky, leaving me alone once again.

As the darkness swarmed around me,
I headed back through my past.
