Words Become Difficult.

by Steven Beesley   Apr 1, 2006

Words Become Difficult:

There is no sun to greet this empty morn.
Gone is the the fanfare of young birds in song from my heart.
No cool breeze to caress and sooth my skin.
The air so thick, stale and dry.

Tender moments now seem lost.
With a parched throat I take
in a deep breath but words
fail to spew out with what I want to say.

Just a boy standing in front of a girl
hoping that she understands that
he only wants to ask for her love once more.
The divide now seems so wide.

Hoping that you would break the ice,
that you feel what I also feel inside.
Nay, nay it is the same as
yesterday as we both go on our separate ways.

Amazing poem man, altough it doesn't rhyme it's written form the heart and that's what matters, wonderfully written and nice choice of words, really nice lol

Beautiful my friend. Nice to see a good love poem stream from your heart. This is a wonderful piece. Urging for love, gasping for that sweet tender feeling. An awesome poem!!

Rarely, very rarely does poetry speak so strongly of emotions and a flow at the same time.
    beautifully done as always

    best regards
