The lEDGEND OF hOLLOW cREEK

by christina   Apr 1, 2006

There\'s an Old Man they say that wanders aimlessly admist Hollow Creek
Simply murming the Name Jospehine whenever he speaks
Some say he\'s crazy, some say he\'s dead
They say he\'s lost everything he\'s ever had
\"Poor Old Man, here, here have something to eat and clothes that are clean!\"
\"Where is my Jospehine?\"
\"Crazy Old Man, she\'s been dead for years!
Old Man turned and wiped his tears.
\"Jospehine,\" he shouted with prolonged haste.
\"Winter\'s a\'cummin we haven\'t time to waste! I have your ring, the preacher\'s awaiting, so hurry hurry my pretty lady!\"
\"You crazy Ol\' Fool, she left you that day, ran on off with that Thomas boy and rolled in the hay.\"
\"Liar, Liar, LIAR, my Jospehine\'s awaitin\' for me by the well!\"
\"No, no sir don\'t you remember you pushed her in and you\'re goin\' to hell!\"
\"But I feel sorry for you, you see,
that\'s why i came and brought you bread to eat.\"
\"Oh, bless you my child for i am very hungry, but you will show by which well is my Josephine?\"
\"Sure Old Man just follow me, and if the light is right, her body will you see.\"
\"I see no body, Thomas boy you lie, if you think she\'s in there git in there and find her and if you don\'t let you die.\"
So Old Man pushed him on in, and said he\'s lying to me.
And wandered on aimlessly murming Jospehine.
