I don't think about you anymore.
I don't cry myself to sleep and
I almost never wish for something I can't have.
I don't day dream as often and,
when I do, they aren't about you.
I don't get tongue tied
when people bring you up
and I laugh when someone
says how stupid I was to love you.
I laugh because they're right.
I gave you my all
and you gave nothing in return.
You used to humor me,
make me think you felt the same
but you were only playing.
You broke me.
But you know what hurts the most?
Knowing that, even though I'm happy without you,
I'd still give anything to be with you.

I wrote this a few months ago about a guy I thought I was in love with... I couldn't seem to get over him... But now, I'm so in love with someone who loves me back, it makes me wonder... why was it so hard?
