Pretty poem

by D   Apr 1, 2006

As a rose blooms at the dawn of a new day,
Such is the beauty I see in your face.

The most gleaming diamond on earth,
Couldn’t compare to the sparkle in your eyes.

The softest blanket, the smoothest pillow,
Neither rival the warm allure of your skin.

The finest food and drink,
Could not begin to quench the thirst have for your lips.

The prettiest poem, the perfect gift,
They could never remotely show how much I love you.
