My First Song

by Dee   Apr 1, 2006

Six o'clock this morning
I woke with a thirst
Not a hunger from a hangover
But a longing for your shirt

An everlasting memory
Of your body and your scent
So strong it woke me from my sleep
Because I never will forget

Called your new phone number
A lady answered the phone
And suddenly I realized
My memory wasn't alone

She was sleeping with a stranger
She did not even know
That when she made love to you
She was not alone

My memory still lingers
I am still in your bed
When she was kissing you
I was in your head

She thought she hit the lottery
A new and loving touch
The sensuous rounding of your hips
That thing you did when we were making love

She thought she had found heaven when she was gazing in your eyes
But if she could see inside of you
She would find an unwelcome surprise

My memory still lingers
I am still in your bed
Each time she was kissing you
I was in your head

She thought she hit the lottery
A new and loving touch
The sensuous rounding of our hips
That thing you did when we were making love

If she felt like I did, the first time that you engaged
She must have seen fireworks
And felt like a teenage crazed

That first very moment that you and I made love
I knew you would never be forgotten
But I never knew you were my endless love

I never felt such passion
I never have since then
I long for another moment
And the passion you have within

My memory still lingers
I am still in your bed
When she was kissing you
I was in your head

She thought she hit the lottery
A new and loving touch
The sensuous rounding of your hips
That thing you did when we were making love
