You All Along

by Carleigh   Apr 1, 2006

Hey Kay well My poem is to all my loved ones who I've lost over the years, its about basically having faith in god and the world and choosing whats right and it also ties in with missing my loved ones, but it also can take on a different aspect. Please comment.

It was you all along
Like an addicting song
you made me believe in him
the light was never dim
angels up above
soaring like beautiful doves
and god looking down on me
can't you see?
You taught me all this
like a smooth kiss
you told me to kneel on my knees
and give thanks to the seas
and for the happiness and food
I was always in a good mood
I'd put my hands together
and pray for you to love me forever
you'd pull out the big book
and I'd take a look
I was devoted
and I'll always be
I'll keep a pure heart and be only me
For the love I share for the world
Has rumbled and swirled
You'll be in my heart
like a million darts
and the memory I have of you
will just have to do
remember it was you all along
like an addicting song
you made me believe in him
the light was never dim
