Waiting for a day tomorrow
assume our time's borrowed
like a ring around my finger
never ending time to linger
an hour glass turns many times
or a grandfather clock with beautiful chimes
the new day, we must await
if all else fails, please don't be late
our visions seem unclear
please no-one shed a tear
awaiting for this new day
not a second or minute wasted
tomorrow is someones birthday
times has only more for them, hooray
you might think this is funny
but the way time works is stunning
for this day is soon to be ending
but our minds seem to be bending
our minds are wanting to sleep
as time passes, our dreams start to creep
as we awaken our thoughts are racing
there is a father waiting to see his new baby, pacing
time is a teacher we are blessed with
say whatever you want its not a myth
