This pain it fills me to the brim, leaves me so distraught
I thought by now hardening my heart, was the least I had been taught
But each wound, it re-opens, each hurt, it re-appears
I known these pains so long now, god it feels like years

My hope, each day, it lessens, chipped off piece by piece
And less chance there seems to be of me, ever gaining peace
So now I just struggle, to make it through each day
To try to put aside my thoughts, to hide the pain away
