Locked

by LostForever   Apr 2, 2006

I see all the people outside,
Their happy, smiling faces,
Taunting me,
Young mothers with their children,
Smiling down,
Something I will be,
It won’t go away.

I want to go with them,
Be part of the crowd,
Joyful games played without care,
Children’s lives without worry,
But im locked up here,
With my pain,
It won’t go away.

I can see all the families,
From up here,
The laughter, the cheer,
I can’t see what’s underneath,
I don’t know,
A child with a bruise,
It won’t go away.

I want to be free,
To speak to all the people,
To share in their bliss,
I'm still locked up here,
With my pain,
The blood,
It won’t go away.

I can see the cut,
The crimson stain,
Wipe away a tear,
Clean it up,
Even when it’s healed,
I still see it,
It wont go away.
