we weren't separated for 8 months
we shared my life

together

now i am alone
standing next to your father
my lover
we made you together

i will never forget you Layla
the fun
the love
and the loss

i never got to meet you alive
outside my body

2 years have past since the excruciating pain of you dying
dying inside of me
