The Sky Is Falling

by KrypticKristen   Apr 2, 2006

The sky is falling
Stars are crashing down
The moon in the sky
No longer shines
White brilliance turned to grey
The sun used to be too bright
But not anymore
I can look right at it now

The lights are out
The walls collapse
People scream
They're looking for a way out
There is none
No way out
You can search
And search
And search forever
But there is none
No exit
No escape

Trapped
Like a maze
A labyrinth of thoughts
Your labyrinth of thoughts
In your mind
Circles and triangles
And other shapes combined
The tunnels
They lead nowhere
They start nowhere
There is no point
You can't turn back
Why would you?
There is no start
No finish

Chaos
My thoughts
Thoughts of my thoughts
They jumble
They combine
Around and around
Like a merry-go-round
Spinning and spinning
Becoming dizzy
Colours collide, combine
Thoughts are the colours
Sadness is blue
Anger is red
But what about purple?

Like standing in the rain
Look up
Raindrops fall
They hit you
Collide and combine across your face
Drip, drip, drip
Thunder crashes
Lightning strikes
Sudden light
Then its gone
And the sky is still falling down
Hitting your face
Pounding you into the ground

It's all too much
And the sky is falling
The moon in the sky
They`re looking for a way out
A labyrinth of thoughts
Spinning and spinning
Drip, drip, drip
And the sky is falling down
