Sleeping Beauty

by myshiningstar14   Apr 2, 2006

I walked on glass, saw dust and oyster shells. My life a living hell. I was a sleeping beauty. I didn't know my own strength, my own power. I laid there, dreaming dreams, and never believing in the impossible.

I cried like I was dying. and stood their lying to myself. I screamed, in my sleep, and sang:

Sleeping beauty
for heavens sake,
won't you wake?
Your prince
charming will
come. Hang in
there, it won't be
much longer.

I sing about the things I longed to accomplish, the way I dreamed of someone loving me forever, and how it would never sever.

I loved like no one loved me. I was sleep beauty and I didn't know that one day, he really would come and love me. It just seemed so impossible, don't you see? Still I sang:

Sleeping beauty,
for heavens sake,
won't you wake?
Hang in there, it
won't be much
longer.

I am holding on, because he is here. I am standing in the shadow of my hero, my knight in shining armor, my prince charming.

I am loving and aware of my strength, my power. I am no longer sleeping beauty, and no more shall I sing.

Sleeping beauty
for heavens sake
won't you wake?
Your prince
charming will
come. Hang in
there it won't be
much longer.

**enjoy..this is a true story..Lissa**
