Morning Routine

by Sean Dohr   Apr 2, 2006

I wake up and I'm feeling drowsy,
already assuming my day will be lousy.
I get up anyway, just to hear my mother say,
hurry up, or you'll be late for school today.

Now to the bathroom I go,
cleaning myself from head to toe.
I get out of the shower, after half an hour,
and find that my electric toothbrush is out of power.

I run down my stairs in a rush,
all of this work just to get my teeth brushed.
I find a toothbrush and scurry upstairs,
leaving no time to brush my hair.

The rhyming of this poem sounds really great but the ending is kinda not as good as rest of the poem. It was like an anti-climax. good job anyway and keep writting!

I loved those lines - they put a smile on my face! However, it seems unfinished . . I think you should finish this poem off . . .

    Peace. [Sole]
