Sister to Sister

You came to me crying
Unsure of what to do
Scared Id pass judgement
But I cant do that to you

You told me you were pregnant
Then crying, fell to the floor
And I ran to your side
To comfort you more

I didnt ask questions
Just held you in my arms
Trying to protect you
From any and all harm

We sat and hugged
For what seemed like days
And it was only when you coughed
Did we back away

And together we talked
For most of the night
I dried you every tear
Assuring youll be alright

I promised Id pay
For whatever your choice
And swore not to tell mom
Unless you needed my voice

Nearly a week later
And were both still okay
See, I told you
Together we get through bad days

I only wish I told you
That after we talked I cried
And I was only strong for you
So youd have strength to get by

Sister to sister
Heart to heart
A love that never
Can be torn apart
