Forgotten

Absolutely nothing
Remember the days
We could laugh about absolutely nothing?
Then, for just a brief second
We would stop?
For just long enough
To breathe
Then our eyes would meet
And the laughter
It would come again?
Remember?
Those days?
Where did they go?

I pass you in the hall
And we stop
For a quick hug
One that means nothing
(Absolutely nothing)

You stand next to her
And tears of laughter roll down your cheeks
And I have no idea why
I used to know everything
Everything it has turned to nothing.

All it takes
Is a dreaded pat on the head
To know that to you
I am nothing
(Absolutely Nothing)

Nothing more than your old
Forgotten Friend.

    Thanks guys, do you think you could read/comment on my other poem, Melted Paper, Broken Glass? I think it is a lot better than this one but I want to know what you guys think.
