Welcome Paradise

I look up to the sun,
It will surely rise.
I stare into the place,
That has become my paradise.
I take another breath,
As I take it all at heart.
I am just surprised,
That I had made it this far.
I waited so long to get here.
To finally feel safe,
Away from all my fear.
So I welcome in the truth,
As it grabs a hold of me,
As it takes my misery.
I hold out my hand,
Waiting for the warmth.
As the sun comes out,
From the passing storm.
I lean my face in,
Waiting for the rays.
That have helped me so,
To look ahead the days. -
