What if...

What if there is no news,
to tell us what to do,
to tell us who we are,
to tell us what is true?

What if there were no drugs,
to take us far away,
to travel over distances,
to travel all the way?

What if there is no love,
to take to bed at night,
to take along with us,
to take us into flight?

What if there was no sun,
to guide us through the day,
to keep us nearly warm,
to shine upon our way?

What if this poem ended,
to try something new,
to walk away and try,
to see out of the blue?
