Freedom

by Danielle   Apr 3, 2006

Guns and violence acts of terror
Nothing is sacred anymore
People fighting people killing
The fight for freedom continues on.

Men and women don their uniforms
Load their guns and say their prayers
And hope to God they live another day
To be there for their families.

The booms of cannon fire the smell of powder
Terror stricken faces looming from the darkness
The thud of bullets hitting bodies
The extermination of human kind.

Is the loneliness we feel worth all this fighting?
The pain and the sorrow of losing a loved one?
Is it really important for us to fight?
So many people dying every day, all for freedom.
