Salvation

by Danielle   Apr 3, 2006

Longingly I stare
At the deep blue sky
Admiring the stars and
Wishing I could be among them.

I long to escape
This prison, to stretch
My wings and finally be free
To fly away forever.

Thick chains bind me
Holding me prisoner
In this forsaken place, holding me
Haunting me, killing me.

I long to be free
To fly above the clouds
The wind in my face
I long for salvation.
