The phone call

by ღMőŁŀŷ ĹůvÅ¡ Ũღ   Apr 3, 2006

You pick up the phone
& start to dial.
Knowing because of him
your life is worth while.

He finally picks up on the 2nd or 3rd ring.
theres love in your voice,
but he don't notice a thing.

You stumble over what to say.
hopping he'll want to stay.

Yes, he does, he always likes to talk.
you get off your bed and start to walk.

You look at the picture of you two.
He doesn't know you want him,
he doesn't have a clue.

Then you go over to that bracelet,
that he gave you long ago.
you wear it everyday,
but you don't let your love for him show.

You still keep it a secret,
its your perfect disguise,
he doesn't even know,
that you live behind these lies.

Its 3:00 in the morning,
your phone call finally ends.
you say goodbye to him,
still, hes just a friend.

You didn't have the strength today to let your love go free.
Now you'll have to wait again,
YOU will have to pay the fee.

As you shut your eyes,
the end of a another unsuccessful day.
Still you quietly thank God,
for sending him your way!

Wow... I really like this poem. I think it shows a lot about how people don't always get the person they really like. But at the same time... I really like the character in this peom because she doesn't let it get to her and she wont let it bring her down... she's okay with the fact of just being friends with this guy...
