Dreams Dont Always Come True

Wish upon a star and dreams come trueor so they say
But I can wish no longer cause Im broken either way
I wish there was so many things I could change
Especially the fact, that our hearts we couldnt exchange
I wished upon a star thousands of times
Guess wishing on a star doesnt work sometimes
I got tired of wishing so I got on my knees
And I prayed for God to listen to my pleas
I wished and I prayed every single night
For you to appear again and everything be alright
But I guess the stars just werent listening
Cause youre only there when Im dreaming
Every night I look out the window and wish for only you
But now Ive realized dreams dont always come true
