Angel Baby

So that was your secret, what you wanted to hide
You did not want to tell me so you kept it inside
When we were talking in my voice you heard I was mad
So you told me My secret is I was going to be a dad
You and your ex would have now had a baby
And if it werent for her choices she would still be your lady
She made a choice, Abortion is the name they give it
It takes your life before you live it
What hurts me the most is that the baby is now dead
Thoughts of that baby roamed all day in my head
You didnt get a chance to meet him, to hold his tiny little hand
Knowing about this baby hurts more than people understand
I know I am not the mother, why do I even care
I could have cared for that baby, unlike her I wouldve dared
You wouldnt know with how much love for you that baby was filled
But you worried more about your lives and had that baby killed
A baby in your life would not have changed my love for you
I would have been there for you and loved that baby too
I could have been a mother if she would never be there
Cause that baby needed someone to give him love and care
Could have been with your baby singing some lullabies
But instead you are filled dealing with long goodbyes
Now your baby from heaven looks down on his dad
He is your angel, always there when you are happy or sad
Now that baby helps our love grow daily
He is not just any baby, he is you angel baby
Thats your baby he will always be
Whether on earth or in eternity
By heavens doors he will be waiting for you
And say, Daddy I still love you and I forgive you too
((This is probably my favorite poem out of all the ones I have written just because I really love this baby even though I never knew him or her and even if I wasnt the mother. To explain things more, my ex boyfriend was going to be a dad to a beautiful baby with his ex girlfriend. Unfortunately she decided to abort her own baby because she thought it would ruin her life. I prayed many nights for this baby and I hope he is looking down on his daddy taking care of him for me I love you angel))
