If love is a good thing, then itâ??s not supposed to hurt
But yet weâ??ll give our heart to someone who treats us like dirt
In your mind you want to leave, but in your heart you want to stay
As every second, minute and hour goes by, itâ??s hurting you more and more everyday
Anyone can say I love you, but are they willing to stick by your side through thick and thin
And if things donâ??t work out at first, are they willing to try them again
Love is what you make it, and whom you make it with
It wonâ??t be broken over a guy or some chick
Love is sacred, Love is not a game
Thereâ??s more to love than having sex and screaming your loverâ??s name
When youâ??re feeling like you just want to break down and cry
Love will conquer everything that you are going through and make you joyful inside
So why are we so quick to give our hearts to someone who cheats and lie
Itâ??s not because they love us, because love wouldnâ??t hurt and make us cry
But because we were blind, and we didnâ??t realize
That our heart was being filled with lust and allowed our head to be filled with lies
How can someone say they love you, but yet they donâ??t hear your cries
When all you want is to be loved, and be the apple of someone eyeâ??s
You canâ??t have trust if you donâ??t have love, and you canâ??t accept love if you donâ??t trust
They walk hand in hand and side-by-side, therefore you canâ??t have one without the other because in the end youâ??ll always end up in lust.
