Media

The visions haunt
And taunt my brain,
These feelings that
Drive me insane.
Must everything
Be covered up
By a sheet of lies,
of greed, of luck?

If only you
Could watch TV
Without invasion
Of things that will be.
They tell you your stupid
Because you can't see
That you cannot have joy
Without prosperity.

They feed you these lies
Of money and life,
When happiness is all needed
To end all your strife.
They care not an ounce
About all your lives,
If only they gain
Some glance from your eyes.

The women are nothing
But objects of sex,
They tell you you're worthless,
So what can come next?
It's like the only reason
We are here today,
Is to get rich, get wasted,
Then throw everything away.

What happened to morals?
To hope that stood tall?
Society has teased it
And caused it to fall.
We cannot escape
This cycle of sin
It is all around us,
Destroying within.

Doesn't it anger
Your troubled, sad mind,
To learn that they claim
To be your friend all the time?
When really their purpose:
To scam you again,
They always deceive,
To their own selves do they tend.

So don't be a friend
Of this wicked, cruel way.
It will never be yours,
And it will never go away.
