Unscared heart

I hide it inside pretend its not there so the pollution
Is to be found nowhere.
I hold in my tears hold in my pain
God only knows I feel like going insane.
I must try to imagine
Everything is fine
And try to contain these feelings of mine.

The agony and the pain
I burry it deeper
And deeper
And rise above
The shame because it is here to live
Like it or not.
It sizzles in my blood but I won't allow
My pain to flood.
I tell myself
Don't let this get to you.
You have no idea what
My soul is going through.

My bones shiver
But hold yourself together this can never be fixed
But be strong anyway
Don't let your secrets spill just numb yourself so you
No longer feel.

Then I sleep at night
Dreaming of a heart unscarred
And wishing that this existence wasn't so hard
