As She Slipped Away...

by The Black Angel Lloyd Rose   Apr 5, 2006

Alone in the darkness; surrounded by walls veiling the outside,
So quiet and so cold; she sat there just crying,
Crying and wishing for a better life,
Bleeding; pool of blood and tears,
"Why?"
"Why?" she wondered; hopeless with all faith lost
Tiptoeing across the border line of life and death.
Pain; such agony to her young heart yet her vessel was numb,
Concern for the few who had the desire to help her,
Icy blue were the eyes of her forgotten soul,
Crystal regret were the tears she cried,
Presented with love yet too blind to see,
Weak, so helpless, so tired, and so hopeless,
Eyelids heavy; struggling for her final image of a harsh world.
Mists of sorrow veiling her midnight-black hair;
A broken heart; her soul left unfixed,
Past memories; none worth the salvage,
Drifting away in the exact manner her dreams had vanished,
Her only sanctuary lurked within her dreams
Yet shattered they shall remain forever
All because love was scarce to her tattered and beaten heart,
Such a foreign idea: love; it was meaningless to her,
A lone heart left to weep as she bled,
And few tried to grab her hand as she slowly slipped away...
